A CLOSER LOOK AT THE DAMAGE
Ceiling damage or water leak in Northern Kentucky?
Work completed
Emergency response — on site within 59 minutes
Crew arrived to find blistered, saturated ceiling drywall across the full length of the 13'1" galley kitchen. The upper-level source was assessed and contained. Moisture readings were taken across the ceiling surface, wall-ceiling junctions, and the cavity above to determine the depth and extent of saturation.
Ceiling moisture assessment and documentation
Thermal imaging was used to map the moisture pattern across the full ceiling surface. The blistering paint, lifting seams, and saturation at the corner junctions were all photographed and documented from multiple angles — providing a complete record for the insurance claim and establishing baseline moisture levels for the drying log.
Targeted ceiling drying
Ceiling-directed air movers and an LGR dehumidifier were set up to draw moisture from the saturated drywall and the ceiling cavity above. The kitchen's contents — cabinets, countertop, appliances, and flooring — were unaffected and required no protective measures, allowing equipment to be positioned optimally for ceiling drying.
Daily monitoring until dry
Moisture readings were logged daily across the ceiling until all readings returned to dry standard. The drying log was maintained throughout and included in the final insurance documentation package.
Insurance documentation
A complete moisture mapping report, before-and-after photo documentation of the ceiling from multiple angles, daily drying logs, and an adjuster-ready scope of work were submitted to the homeowner's carrier — including a clear description of the damage boundaries and what was not affected.
