Full water extraction — all six rooms simultaneously
Truck-mounted and portable extraction units removed standing water from all six rooms at the same time. Carpet wand extraction pulled absorbed moisture from wall-to-wall carpet throughout the recreation room and connected spaces. The bathroom, utility room, and storage room concrete and LVP surfaces were extracted and documented separately.

Contents assessment and documentation
The volume of at-risk contents across the basement was significant — children's toys and play furniture, clothing and shoes in the walk-in closet, holiday decorations and storage bins, fitness equipment including the Peloton bike, and personal items throughout. All floor-level contents were documented, photographed, and inventoried as at-risk for the insurance claim. Salvageable items were moved and elevated; unsalvageable items were documented prior to disposal.

Moisture readings were logged daily across all rooms until every surface returned to dry standard. A complete moisture mapping report, before-and-after photo documentation, and an adjuster-ready scope of work — including contents inventory — were submitted to the insurance carrier.
